Aim

 

Welcome to the blogpost of the module, ICT skills for Teaching and Learning for the course, Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL). Through this blog creation, it has taught us how to integrate ICT skills in our classrooms more fun and interactive ways. Moreover, it has taught us different teaching and learning strategies that could be used in a pedagogical context. In addition, we are able to establish new and more fundamental ICT tools like quizzes, interactive games and PowerPoint presentation that could be used to engage students more interactively in the lessons. It also enhanced our knowledge and background information regarding the ICT subject matter. 

 

Blog Description

The blog mainly comprises of International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE) English resources for key stage 3 students and a grammar lesson for all. Furthermore, it also consists of different IGCSE lessons with lesson plans, worksheets, videos. quiz, audios, further details (URLs) and power point presentations. I hope this blog will be a useful resource for all students, teachers and parents.

A little about me

 I am Zaheena Ibrahim from TESOL, January 2021 batch. This is my very first journey in Villa College. I worked in a school library (Makunudhoo School) as a library assistant for eight years. During the years as an Assistant Librarian, I completed one-year advance certificate library course from Maldives National University (MNU) and participated number of library workshops regarding library management areas. At the moment, am also a council member of Maldives Library Association (MLA). Moreover, teaching children have always inspired me incredibly in those years I spent in the school environment. Eventually, opted to do TESOL course from Villa College.
